Schneider Electric is partnering with the International Student Energy Summit to host a fantastic new contest leading into the 2013 event in Norway.

Our 2030 BRIC Video Predictions Contest will provide four students with full bursaries to attend ISES which includes a $1,000 travel voucher, complimentary delegate registration and accommodation during the event (June 13-15).

Our short video introduces what the contest is all about:

The goal of this contest is simple, we want to hear your thoughts on what impact the BRIC Countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China) will have in the global energy ecosystem between now and the year 2030. We don’t want this to be an exercise in wild predictions, but a thoughtful, creative approach to thinking about what role these 4 important countries will play over the next 20 years.

1. Create your video (maximum two minute)
2. Upload to video to youtube or vimeo before April 22, 2013
3. Submit your video link to facebook: http://www.facebook.com/studentenergy or on twitter at http://www.twitter.com/ISES using the phrase “My submission for the @ISES 2030 BRIC Video Predictions Contest presented by @SchneiderElec – YOUR VIDEO URL”
4. Share your post – extra recognition will be given to videos that generate conversation or additional insight

The videos will be judged based on:

  • Creativity
  • Clarity of predictions (be specific!)
  • Feasibility of your predictions
  • Balance
  • How effectively do your predictions challenge the current status quo while staying rooted in an understanding of what is realistically possible.

All winners will be announced within one week of the contest closing.
